The Story of Papa Nisse

The Story of Papa Nisse is based on the classic legend of Nisses, an elf-like magical creature that is a associated with winter and the Christmas season.
Nisses are a part of Norwegian and Danish mythology. In Sweden they are known as Tomte, in Finland, Tontu each with their own look and nuances. The legend of Nisses is not unique to Scandinavia. Nisse characters are found in England and Scotland (Brownie), Netherlands (Kabouter), Spain and Hispanic countries (Duende), and Domovoy (Russia) to name a few.
This tale is about Papa Nisse, who works hard taking care of the farm and family but is worried about whether the family appreciates him.
It is a story with a message about work ethic and being grateful. Written for children ages 0-10 years with colorful illustrations.
